Introduction to CAAP Part 1 – Wednesday, October 12th , 2022
In this module we introduce the program and explore the concepts of Sustainability & Regeneration.
Introduction to CAAP Part 2 – Thursday, October 27th, 2022
In this module we explore the climate crisis and the intersecting social justice crises, and how they all come together.
Introduction to CAAP Part 3 – Thursday, November 3rd, 2022
School teams explore the Strategic Framework for Whole-School Climate Action plans, applying it to each school circumstance.

The first hour of this session was with Dr. Ellen Field, where she presented current research and trends in Climate Change Education, and took questions. In the second part, Southridge School, Trinity College School and Hillfield Strathallan College shared highlights from their whole-school approach to climate action and regeneration

Workshop #5 Tuesday, January 17th, 2023
We introduced the Climate Action Plan template, and also did an introduction to Greenhouse Gas Emissions.
Scaling Up the Circular Economy in our Schools
January 26th, 2023
An interactive session where we covered the basics of a circular economy, and then discussed how to do a comprehensive waste & materials audit, covering organizational culture, collective learning, and physical space.

A great session with all kinds of inspiration from the University of Toronto. We have 2 edits from the session – the first includes the opening and closing of the Cohort A main session, with the report from the second student session. We talked about how to create a Compelling Vision for Climate Action at our schools, and explored Level 2 of the Climate Action Plan template.
