DoorNumberOne.org is partnering with the MAD (Make A Difference) Courses Docathon Project to help our schools tell their stories.

Stories That Move is a filmmaking program for students to tell stories at the heart of climate, Nature and social action…

…because real change begins with when stories move people.

Current and former CAAP schools are invited to participate in this pilot initiative. Students will:

  • Learn storytelling and filmmaking skills, with coaching from professional filmmakers.
  • Work collaboratively with other students interested in art, media, justice, climate and Nature.
  • Create a 3 – 6 minute documentary film about an important story of impact in their school community.
  • Share their story in local and global settings.
  • Have the opportunity to receive a student leadership and storytelling credential.

No special equipment is needed, most students complete the films with their phones!

Get started with this link. Teams can include up to 5 students, with one adult contact. There is a cost of $350 USD per team, paid to MAD Courses.

Registration is open now. The last day to enrol a team is Friday, April 17th. Details on film showcase opportunities will follow shortly.

We look forward to sharing links to the films here later this spring!
